The RHDEC-WPL Decorative Remote Head is designed for compatibility with 3–12VDC remote head-capable units and operates at a maximum power consumption of 3 watts. This low-power design ensures efficient performance while providing reliable emergency illumination.

INSTALLATION

The RHDEC-WPL is designed for wall-mount installation only and features a fully gasketed rear surface to ensure a watertight seal in wet location environments. The back plate includes integrated knockouts, allowing for safe and convenient routing of installation wiring, while maintaining a secure and weather-resistant connection.

CONSTRUCTION

The RHDEC-WPL Decorative Remote Head features a durable die-cast aluminum housing with an anti-UV protective coating to withstand harsh environments. Its fully gasketed construction ensures reliable performance in wet location areas, while a clear polycarbonate shield safeguards the internal LEDs from impact, moisture, and debris.

ILLUMINATION

The RHDEC-WPL is equipped with three high-performance smart LEDs, delivering field-selectable illumination levels to suit various application needs. Using a built-in toggle switch, users can choose between 100 lumens (1W), 200 lumens (2W), or 300 lumens (3W)—offering flexible, energy-efficient lighting tailored to the specific emergency egress requirements.

EMERGENCY OPERATION

In the event of a power failure, the RHDEC-WPL draws power from the connected remote head-capable unit to provide emergency illumination. The duration of illumination depends on the battery capacity and load capability of the connected fixture, ensuring flexible operation tailored to the supporting unit's specifications.

At a mounting height of 10 ft, 1 FC is achieved when spaced at:

• 11 ft using the RHDEC-WPL-1W
• 21 ft using the RHDEC-WPL-2W
• 27 ft using the RHDEC-WPL-3W

Disclosure:

Spacing is measured in lab condition with an assumed open space, no obstruction and reflection rates of 80 (ceiling) / 50 (walls) / 20 (floor). Actual spacing may vary depending on what environment the fixture is installed in.
