In normal AC mode, a circuit inside the unit automatically recharges the battery • A switch is provided** on the bottom of the lamp to connect or disconnect the battery from the circuit. This would help in moving the lamp from one place to another without having the krypton lamp turn ON • When a power outage occurs outside of daytime hours, the krypton lamp illuminates a 400 sq. ft. area instantaneously for over 4 hours * The daylight sensor conserves the battery by only operating while it is dark (even during a power outage) ** The battery on/off switch needs to be ON in order for the battery to be functional in both normal and emergency modes Description This decorative energy efficient table lamp doubles as an emergency light when power outage occurs.
